Hey guys I've never written a blog before so here it goes.....
Week One of our 'being bad' module was interesting to say the least. My first impression of the lecture left me gobsmacked if I'm honest! - i found the session hilarious and found myself curious and was left wondering who i was sharing a room with after the fellow 'confessions' shared by my peers- some funny but some just darn right weird!
Being bad, well self explanatory really, 'sex,drugs, rock and roll' springs to mind, just part of a mixture that puts the spice into life. Anyone agree? I personally don't think society would be society if we did not possess some element of 'badness' - it would cease to exist.
People can be bad for many reasons, some because they are taught it by their upbringing and so on, some because it could be an addiction,or some just because they want to- maybe it's just fun you have to live a little right? Also what one person considers to be' bad' might actually be totally acceptable to the next person.
Whatever the reason for bad behaviour, it gets us hooked though doesn't it? We are still that little bit curious to find out all the little details. Nobody id PERFECT or NORMAL, i mean whats perfect a cycle on a washing machine- even then that's not perfect as they breakdown half the time. Anyways so while badness might not be appreciated or seen as ideal to everyone, maybe its just a phase of life some people go through, a midlife crisis or something, there are endless possibilities , but whatever the reason we are fixated with people 'being bad'. Plus if there was no 'badness' we would have some rather dull Thursday evenings wouldn't we?
For our week 12 field trip, I suggest we visit an open gallery court room where the public can view the cases taking place and the processes that take place. Not only would this give us an insight into a person who MAY have committed a crime( a form of 'badness') I think it would be a unique experience and adventure for our group to go on- but remember innocent until proven guilty!Plus I think it would be quite humorous, what do you all think?
Now, I hope I have not bored you to death with my first post, let me know how this comes across as it is my FIRST EVER BLOG. I look forward (hopefully) to some comments/feedback from you all.
P.S- Woo glad the first post is out the way. I have also done some research and found an article that I think you should all definitely consider viewing, as it tells us why 'being bad' could actually good for you- 'Being Bad' the new good, cool hey!
